What is RSS?

RSS may say three different things. The original flow (RDF Site Summary RSS 0.9) was developed by Dan Libby for Netscape. After a slow month, they produced a 0.91 simple and easy to use version of Rich Site Summary or RSS views. But they later lost interest, so that without an owner. As users are increasingly using the son RSS, Winer has an adapted version of RSS 0.91 Userland, claiming it as his own. Later in 2005, Microsoft developed Really Simple Syndication in relation to its Simple Sharing Extensions.
